Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s top nuclear negotiator: ”There will be separate bilateral meetings between Iranian and some of the ۵ + ۱ officials before the next round of negotiations. ” The talks were held at the deputy foreign minister level in Geneva and Rome.

The talks were held at the deputy foreign minister level in Geneva and Rome. 5th round of Iran and 5+1 talks with the aim of arriving at a consensus on comprehensive nuclear agreement are scheduled on 26th -30th of Iranian month of Khordad in Vienna. According to Abbas Araghchi Iran's deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs there are separate bilateral talks before the fresh round of talks between Iran and six world powers. In an interview with YJC he said:" There will be separate bilateral meetings between Iranian and some of the 5+1 officials before the next round of negotiations." According to IRNA news agency, separate bilateral meetings between Iranians and US in Geneva were scheduled on Monday and Tuesday (19th and 20th of Iranian month of Khordad - 9th and 10th of June). Talks between Iran and Russia would be held in Rome. According to ISNA , Marie Harf, US State Department spokesperson said in her Twitter that head of the US negotiating team Wendy Sherman and Deputy Secretary of State William Burns and Jake Sullivan President Barack Obama's adviser were meeting with Iranian officials. Talks with Russia were scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday( 21st and 22nd of Iranian month of Khordad- 11th and 12th of June) in Rome. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of I.R. Iran talks with other members of 5+1 are being scheduled. The fresh round of Iran 5+1 talks are scheduled in Vienna. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton held the 4th round of talks over drafting the context of the comprehensive agreement on 23rd to 26th of Iranian month of Ordibehesht followed by an eight-hour meeting on 5th and 6th of Iranian month of Khordad in Istanbul. Zarrif called the negotiations "Serious yet positive"." We don't expect a consensus just after several meetings." he said.

Iran's determination
In an interview with YJC, Zarif mentioned the fact that Iran is determined to have serious talks, despite the difficulties. Zarif added that both sides need to be well prepared in order to reach a consensus. Iran and 5+1 signed the six-month Joint Plan of Action on November 20th. According to the interim agreement it could be extended for another 6 months in case of not reaching an agreement on July 20th deadline.
4th round of talks over drafting the final agreement were held on 24th to 26th of Iranian month of Ordibehesht in Vienna. They had no outcome due to their unrealistic demands. "We are not under pressure to reach an agreement at any price and a disagreement wouldn't be calamitous" Abbas Araghchi said.
Expert-level talks were held in Vienna, Foreign Ministry Director General for Political and International Security Hamid Baeedinejad was the head of Iranian team while the other party in the talks was led by the aide to the European Union Foreign Policy Chief Stephen Clement. According to Mr. Baeedinejad there were hours of compact and technical discussions.

Iran seeks self-sufficiency
With regard to Reuter's claim about dispute over Bushehr nuclear power plant, spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi told YJC: " Expert-level talks are being held, and a fresh round of 5+1 talks are scheduled in coming days, technical discussions are detailed and comprehensive and the results might be quoted with some changes and fluctuations ".
